Xenosaga

Just began playing xenosaga last night, and I was shocked by how it played right into my stereotyped view of spaceship anime, even though I'm not sure if the people are on a spaceship right now. The cut-scene interspersed people in what my stereotype-recognizer might think could be a bridge (but also a research lab somehow?) with shots of spaceships driving around. I suppose I shall see.

I find this game harder than any of the final fantasy games. In fact, I died at one point in xenosaga, and it had been so long since the last save point that I said 'screw it' and started playing FF9 instead. (It's not so much that it's too hard for me as I hate having to re-do large segments of gameplay, especially when the game isn't exactly snappy in terms of switching in and out of menus and what not.)
